Our Story

O.M.A.S. was born from watching the system fail repeatedly. Our founders deployed to disaster zones, conflict areas, and humanitarian crises around the world. During a botched humanitarian response in the Caribbean, credentialed medical professionals froze while bureaucracy strangled coordination. Our team stepped in, took control, and got people the care they needed. During the fall of Afghanistan in 2021, chaos consumed the tarmac while thousands of lives hung in the balance. Leadership was absent. Our founders filled the void.

We've watched alphabet agencies with billion-dollar budgets choke when it mattered most. Hurricanes, floods, wildfires the machinery grinds to a halt while forms get filed and approvals get routed through command chains that don't care about urgency. Competence gets buried under process. People wait for help that arrives too late or doesn't arrive at all.

Every deployment taught the same lesson: when preparedness isn't prioritized, people die. Agencies scrambled for basics. Communities were abandoned. Training didn't exist.

Equipment never arrived. Plans were improvised in real time. And while bureaucrats debated jurisdiction, our team moved.

The communities who need support most get it last if they get it at all. Rural fire departments on bake sale budgets. Unincorporated towns with no emergency services. Churches and schools with nothing but good intentions. The system doesn't reach them. It was never designed to.

In 2024, our Board voted to transition O.M.A.S. from for-profit to 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We walked away from contracts that paid well but didn't fix the problem. We stopped waiting for someone else to fill the gap.

Today, O.M.A.S. operates where the need is real and the resources are thin. We train people who can't afford courses. We deliver equipment to agencies with no budget. We show up during disasters when no one else does. Not because we're heroes because we've seen what happens when no one shows up.

This work isn't about recognition. It's about making sure people have what they need to survive and the skills to use it. Because if we don't do it, who will?

Our Core Values

Ephesians 6 - The Armor of God

Truth

Belt of Truth (Ephesians 6:14)

We operate with honesty and transparency in everything we do. Our training is grounded in real-world experience, our impact is measurable, and our commitment to communities is unwavering. Truth is the foundation of trust.

We tell communities what they need to hear, not what they want to hear because lives depend on it.

Righteousness

Breastplate of Righteousness (Ephesians 6:14)

We do what is right, even when it's hard. Walking away from lucrative contracts to serve underserved communities wasn't easy but it was the right thing to do. Our mission comes before profit.

We protect those who protect others, ensuring that every person we serve receives the care and preparation they deserve.

Readiness

Feet Fitted with Readiness (Ephesians 6:15)

We stand ready to serve wherever and whenever the need arises. From floods to wildfires to community emergencies, O.M.A.S. responds with the training, equipment, and personnel required to make a difference.

Preparedness isn't a luxury\'97it's a lifeline. We equip communities to be ready before disaster strikes.

Faith

Shield of Faith (Ephesians 6:16)

We believe in the communities we serve and the mission we've been called to fulfill. Faith drives us to show up when others turn away, to serve those who are overlooked, and to trust that our work saves lives.

We have faith that every person we train, every kit we deploy, and every partnership we build creates a ripple effect of safety and resilience.

Salvation

Helmet of Salvation (Ephesians 6:17)

Our work is about saving lives—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Whether it’s stopping a bleed, protecting a congregation, or supporting a community through disaster, we exist to preserve life and hope.

Every life saved is a victory. Every community strengthened is a testament to the power of preparation and partnership.

Action

Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17)

Knowledge without action is meaningless. We don’t just talk about preparedness—we deliver it. We train hands-on. We deploy resources. We stand in the gap. Our mission demands action, and we answer the call.

We are doers, not talkers. When disaster strikes, O.M.A.S. moves.
